Beekeeping is always looking for better ways to keep your bees alive. Some places are offering new equipment, or we might have a crazy idea ourselves. We are looking into the following equipment:
Ventelated inner cover- Increase air flow in a way that prevents moisture / rain from entering the hive. Does not work with top feeders. Best used during winter directly after top feeders are removed.
Upper enterance & Feeding Shim - An enterance above it all to allow direct access to honey suppers and an exit during high snow or flood. A space is provided to feed patties, but burr or bridge comb is often built.
HDPE Bottom Board - built in extra long varroa screen, and tray slot. Testing for superior life over wood bottom boards.
HDPE Outer Cover - testing for superior life over wooden outer covers.
Super Guard - Testing decreased entry of honey robbers, mice and mites.
